TankKeep does not require an account. Your tanks, water readings, notes and photos stay on your device, and core logging works offline. To improve the app, it sends anonymous usage data that never includes what you write or your photos; you can turn this off in Settings at any time. Purchases are handled by Apple and RevenueCat.

Tanks, records, livestock lists, reminders, notes and photos are stored in the app's local database and folder on your device. We do not run any service that receives these records, and usage data never includes them.
To understand which features are used and to find problems, the app sends usage events. Each event contains:
Usage data never includes tank or livestock names, notes, readings you type, photos, file paths, your location, your Apple Account, or your name. It cannot be linked to you, is not used for advertising, is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and is not sold.
Where it is stored. If your App Store storefront is mainland China, usage data is sent to e.clearlily.cn on a server in mainland China and stays there. Otherwise it is sent to e.clearlily.app, hosted on Cloudflare outside mainland China. Our servers do not store IP addresses and keep no access logs.
Your choice. If your storefront is mainland China (or cannot be determined yet), the app asks for your consent the first time you open it, and sends nothing unless you agree. In other regions usage data is on by default. In every region you can turn off Share Usage Data in Settings; the app then stops sending and deletes events waiting on the device.
How long we keep it. 24 months after it is received, then deleted.
Pro is purchased through Apple's App Store. Apple handles payment; we never see your payment details or Apple Account. The app uses RevenueCat, a subscription service based in the United States, to confirm purchases and restore Pro. RevenueCat receives the purchase receipt from Apple, an anonymous app user ID generated by RevenueCat, and basic device information such as app version, OS version and network address, as its service requires. It does not receive your aquarium records or photos. This applies in every region, including mainland China, so purchase-validation data is processed outside mainland China. Turning off usage data does not turn off purchase validation, because it is needed to unlock Pro. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
You can change these permissions at any time in your device's Settings.
Records on your device can be deleted inside the app, or all at once by deleting the app (back up first if you want to keep them). Because usage data is not linked to your identity, we cannot find which events are yours from your name or email; turning off Share Usage Data stops further collection, and reinstalling the app creates a new identifier. TankKeep is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If what the app collects or where data goes changes, we will update this page before that version is released and change the date above.
